Yes. Using an iterative procedure based on the UBC 97 strength provisions, the program will calculate forces and deflections accordingly. In the out of plane wall dialog there is a checkbox to consider the wall to be slender.
No. There is a button in each of these dialog boxes that is not grayed out. Pressing this button will make all of the selections available to you so you can input your design parameters.
Yes. There is an entry on the out-of-plane wall dialog box for you to put in the eccentricity in inches.
The program uses the 45 degree triangular arching assumption used in most design examples to apply loads to your lintel. If the top of your wall intersects with the triangular portion of wall above the lintel, then there is no arching action applied. If you do not intersect the top of the wall with the triangular portion of wall above the lintel, full arching action is applied and the lintel will see no load from a line load defined along the top of the wall.
