Coming Soon: Faster Dynamics Solver

We currently are in final beta testing of a new accelerated dynamics solver. This new solver is up to 100 times faster than our current dynamic solver. The larger the model, the more dramatic the improvement. For example, one of our beta testers saw his dynamics solution time for a very large model go from 18 hours down to less than 30 minutes. This accelerated dynamics solver will be part of the upcoming Version 6 release of RISA-3D.
Saudi Structural Engineering Courses Use RISA

The Saudi Council of Engineers will teach structural engineering courses using RISA software. The classes start November 21 and run until March 21, 2006. The courses will be held in Riyadh and Jeddah and taught by Mohammed Alshankyty, B.Eng., M.Eng., MSCE. For details on the courses and to download an application, click here.

RISA Technologies purchases ERITower

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of ERITower, a top-rated tower analysis and design software program. ERITower was a joint effort between Dan Horn, who passed away last July, and Electronics Research, Inc. ERI hired Horn to write the program in 1998. RISA will continue to develop the program and provide sales and technical support to all ERITower users.
